Scruffy!
Scruffy is a darling little girl who came to us as a stray. We estimate she is about 2 years old and is clearly mixed with something and we're guessing it maybe Jack Russell Terrier! Scruffy is outgoing and affectionate, and loves being the center of attention! She just loves people and being with them! In you lap, by your side, wherever you are, Scruffy will want to be also! Scruffy hasn’t had much exposure while in rescue with young children so any interaction with them will need to be supervised. She has done fine with her limited time with her foster family’s grandson. Scruffy gets along well with other dogs although she does want to be ‘top dog’! She loves to chew and therefore needs to be directed to appropriate chew toys. She is doing very well on crate training but will need to continue working on house breaking in her forever home. Scruffy will bolt for the door and jump up on people so a good canine citizen class and obedience training will be a must for her! Scruffy has a healthy dose of ‘Terrier Attitude’ so be prepared for her spunky personality!

Prospective Adoptive Home
The ideal forever home for Scruffy will have a fenced in yard since she came to us as a stray and does ‘bolt’ so the potential to runaway is a concern. She loves playing in her foster family’s fenced in yard and will play fetch Westie-style (you throw the ball and she chases it but does NOT bring it back to you)!! She will require obedience classes. Because she is not house broken, and if there is not someone home with her by day, her forever family will need to either come home mid-day to let her potty or arrange for someone to let her out to relieve herself. Scruffy is ready to find her forever home! She is currently fostered in Onalaska and her potential adoptive family will need to travel there to meet her. Scruffy is a mix and her adoption fee is $150.00.
