Rescue and Adoption
image Thank you for your interest in Wisconsin Westie Rescue (WWR). We are licensed by the state of Wisconsin as a rescue group that places more than 25 dogs a year. Our state license number is 268578-DS.

Please explore our website and learn more about the services and the breed we love so much. The dogs featured on this website are typically rescue dogs or belong to our volunteers. For information on dogs currently available to adopt, please see Gallery One.

WWR provides rescue and adoption services for Westies and Westie Mixes from Eastern Minnesota, Northern Illinois, and Wisconsin. Once a dog enters WWR, we quickly place the dog with a foster family. Foster dogs receive full veterinary care such as immunizations, teeth clearning, and if needed, spaying or neutering. In addition, we assess the temperament and special needs of each dog and create a profile for an appropriate forever home. For example, some dogs seem better suited for placement in a home with other dogs whereas others should be only dogs. For more information on adoption, please go to the Adopt page at anytime or you can access adoption information by clicking on the Adopt link at the top or the bottom of each webpage.
